Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance in complex installation, defect rectifications, maintenance & testing of a wide range of equipment / system like HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical & instrumentation equipment’s including precision units, DX, AHU’s and on Electrical for LV and MCC panels, Control Gears, UPS, Central Battery Systems, Lighting Control panels, pumps and its stations, DG sets etc.
  • Review KPI parameters and other relevant manual, regulations to remain up to date in the respective field of engineering.
  • Monitor implementation of plant preventive maintenance activities carried out as per the schedule & safety Standards.
  • Troubleshoot the premature / unusual or the system failures and analyze root cause, take corrective action to avoid recurrence of the problem in line with SOPs.
  • Provide work directions to specialized vendors and subordinate staffs to ensure that all activities conform to ISO policies and procedures and accepted technical standards.
  • To coordinate & liaise with building focal points and coordinate day to O&M activities.
  • Receive and review incoming work requests for functioning and maintenance.
  • Plan, execute routine preventive maintenance and process work requests after filling in the required materials, man hours, and skill levels.
  • Provides technical advice to subordinates and ensures proper use of tools for reinstating the systems.
  • Inspect the work of subordinate staff, carry out related on-site work, resolves problems during work, trains subordinates in safe practices and guidelines.
  • Prepare regular work reports & maintain records and files of work performed, in progress, and work completed. Completes and processes paperwork related to his section such as time sheets, material costs, repairs, and activity reports.
  • Prepare annual lists of spare parts, consumable materials and special tools or test equipment.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Head – Engineering Services.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Mechanical), or any other related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
  • At least four years significant working experience which should be at a senior level in engineering environment
  • Strong general management and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Must be good at application of creativity and innovative skills in managing projects. *Should have good analyzing skills as well.
  • Should be a problem – solver and be able to grasp the problem at hand and take quick steps to resolve it.
  • Ability to develop, formulate strategy and exercise good judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
