Job Summary: The
Relationship Manager- Transactional Banking will primarily be responsible for
maintaining and growing the non-borrowing portfolio by expanding wallet-share
and acquiring new business through superior business solutions, relationship
management, and customer service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Build
    and maintain quality relationships with customers by cross selling
    liability & institutional products and seeking to improve the
    profitability of the relationship.
  • To
    keep the Senior Manager Corporate & Institutional Banking updated on
    the quality of the existing liability/institutional customers bringing to
    immediate attention any issues that require the resources / input of the
    Head.
  • The
    incumbent will also ensure that the Bank remains protected in our dealings
    with the customer by identifying and reporting risks that may result out
    of a transaction or the relationship.
  • Appraising
    opportunities for Synergy with liability and institutional customers and
    keeping frequent, documented reports / visits / contracts with the all the
    Relationships, the bank’s management, other units; either directly or
    through indirect reports
  • Support
    in the Preparation of Sales documents that help in the process flow for
    faster closure of deals. Such may include preparing proposals, agreements
    and memos for Managerial approval and sign off.
  • Maintaining
    the highest standards of customer service in order to maximize the returns
    from identified relationships and attract new business from targeted
    customers in terms of the Marketing and Business Development Market Plan.
  • Identifying
    and disseminating information to and from the market / customers, and
    alerting the Senior Manager Corporate & Institutional Banking and the
    team on information to maximize and sustain revenue.
  • Gather
    and analyze Monthly Reports and Prospects, laying out strategies with Line
    Manager on way forward to attract liabilities from the market.
  • The
    incumbent will also serve as a one stop centre for our Liability/institutional
    customers on all services they seek to enjoy with the Bank by leading them
    to the right relationship contact at all times.
  • Provide

  • Perform
    any other duties that may be assigned by Management
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The
    applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Banking,
    Marketing or a related field
  • Three
    or more years’ experience in Financial Business Development
  • Innovative,
    able to identify and adapt products and services to a range of local
    market conditions.
  • Excellent
    track record in Relationship Management, Direct Selling and Liability
    mobilization
  • Good
    knowledge, understanding and interpretation of industrial and national
    economic trends
  • Customer
    centricity, with a strong sense for client behavior
  • Advanced
    facility structuring and negotiation skills
  • Good
    business acumen and financial skills
  • Good
    risk acumen
  • Excellent
    interpersonal and networking skills; with ability to influence key people
    inside and outside the Bank
  • Excellent
    presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Team
    player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Possess
    the ability to work under pressure, and exercise excellent judgment
