Job Summary:  The ICT Supervisor will be responsible for managing all Information and Communication Technology functions

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all staff who come into the SUKA Mission are briefed on the ICT environment, processes, and procedures and ICT Policy.
  • In charge of monitoring, maintaining, and following up on all Information Technology (I.T) and Telecom equipment, tools and services in the mission, in accordance with MSF standards.
  • Supervising, implementing, and improving data security protocols (Data Storage, Firewalls, User Access Rights, Security for Equipment, and software, etc.)
  • Ensure data security, availability, and immediate operational recovery and continuity in case of emergency.
  • Providing technical support and presenting MSF standards, policies, protocols, and procedures to all users.
  • Providing advanced technical support to logistics experts dealing with I.T and Telecom systems.
  • Providing regular activity reports for the sites under his/her responsibility in accordance with MSF guidelines.
  • Participating in the establishment of the annual budget for I.T and Telecom families.
  • Planning, preparing, and reporting the visits to the sites under his/her responsibility to ensure the smooth I.T operations at these sites.
  • Work with HQ I.T Field Referents whenever software or hardware migrations and upgrades are to take place in the mission.
  • Test and check all new IT Equipment purchased by the procurement team to ensure proper functioning of the equipment before finalizing the purchase with the ICT Supplier.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a technical school Diploma in Information and Communication Technology or Computer Science.
  • Certifications in the different ICT domains would be an asset.
  • One to two years of proven experience in I.T or technical functions
  • Expertise in Windows 10 and business applications (Office365).
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware and maintenance processes, network theory and their respective protocols, main email systems, IT security best practices and IT service management tools (ITSM)
  • Understanding in Server Management (Windows Server 2019 and Active directory) and Server Virtualization (Hyper-V)
  • Understanding of radio telecommunication concepts (HF, VHF, GSM, Satellite) Teaching and supporting skills.
  • Competencies: Strong interpersonal skills, strong initiative, able to handle complex assignment with proactive attitude.
  • Team player with strong analytical skills, attention to details (precise), flexible and able to work in a demanding and challenging work environment.
  • Languages: English, Local languages
