FH is currently operating programs in Asia, Latin America and Africa with support offices in the UK, Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, United States of America and Japan. FH’s primary goal is to end all forms of poverty World-wide. In Uganda, FH is operational in the Districts of Adjumani, Kitgum, Lamwo, Kole, Kween, Mbale, Namutumba and Amudat Districts implementing programs in four main sectors of Education; Food Security and Livelihoods; Health/Nutrition and Disaster Risk Reduction; with the Head office located in Kampala.

 

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Regional MEAL Officer, the candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of the MEAL tasks in the Area Program setting. Ensure proper documentation of all MEAL tasks, processes, and outputs (including ensuring output monitoring happens). The candidate will in collaboration with the MEAL Officer, facilitate field-level learning events, and capture, document, and disseminate lessons learned for internal and external purposes. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring all program data is up to date in the MIS –World Link and smart sheet.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a College/university degree in Monitoring and Evaluation studies, social sciences, demography, development planning, mathematics, statistics, or similar field
  • A post graduate diploma in Monitoring and Evaluation is an added advantage although not a MUST
  • At least two years working in monitoring & evaluation of development and humanitarian programs preferred.
  • Vibrant personal relationship with Christ.
  • Proficiency in creating data entry and analysis templates in Epi-Info, MS Access, SPSS, or other software.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with strong skills in MS Excel, MS Access, MS word, Power point & e-mail.
  • Experience working with development and humanitarian fields such as food security, health and nutrition or education is a plus.
  • Proficiency in respective local languages and Written English is a Must for all.
