We implement six programmes in thematic areas of Health, Education, Ultra-Poor Graduation, Emergency Preparedness and Response, Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents, and Financial Inclusion.

 

Job Summary: The person will be responsible for in-country surveys and research activities in the field, performance of the Field Supervisors, grant management & related donor communications, and knowledge management for research uptake.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for survey managements and data quality as thorough process of research protocol.
  • Supervise and maximise the performance of the Field Supervisors (staff) who supervises the enumerators Collate learning of field management and thus adopt best practices of field management to continuously improve the research protocols.
  • Coordinate research tools and other learning across projects and staff. Coordinate the team members for sampling plan, sampling target, quality data, and attrition reduction.
  • Ensure data quality by working at every level-tools making, mobile layout, training, supervision, entry, translation, and store. Budget and assets (mobile, server) management under research
  • Write concept notes and research reports from country contexts.
  • Communicate and coordinate with BRAC programmes, support units, and external stakeholders.
  • Support grant management with financial analytics and technical progress and completion reports.
  • Facilitate IERC team, BRAC programmes, and external stakeholders to promote research uptake for programming and policy advocacy.
  • Multiple projects, multiple surveys, and research interventions at a time
  • Matrix management with BRAC managers, researchers, Pls, partners, and Head of operations.
  • Balance between internal team management and external stakeholders for grants and research uptake. Assets (mobile) and budget management efficiently

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation
  • Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do the same

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Statistics or any other related subject.
  • At least eight years of experience in research management and grant management with team management role.
  • Knowledge/skill in mix methods of research – quantitative in specific
  • Experienced and skilled in large survey management in different sectors.
  • Quality data management, data cleaning and data analysis
  • Knowledge of digital data management like ODK/SurveyCTO, recorders
  • Well versed at least in one of the quantitative statistical software (preferably STATA)
  • Grant management with financial analytics and progress reports.
  • Making research briefs and promoting research uptake.
