In line with this mandate, HI is looking for a competent firm or individual to provide training services for its Staff in Advanced Excel.

 

Description of The Expected Service

Delivery of the World Health Organization (WHO) Service Provision Basic Level Training with details of training plan according to:

Training modalities: This is where the training modalities are defined: face-to-face, distance learning, blended (face-to-face and distance learning), dual education, etc.

 

Expected methodology: Specify the expected methodology in order to give the tenderer a framework and ensure that he has enough information to submit a proposal in line with the expectations. Indicate the methods that can be used, or whether a given method is preferred. Also explain that the method will be adjusted jointly to ensure that it is consistent with Handicap International’s approaches and intervention methods. In particular, explain that the Consultant must use participatory facilitation techniques (practical exercises, case studies, work simulations, role-playing, etc.).

 

Training modules:

  • If the training is made up of several modules, describe the different modules. Accessibility of the training
  • Indicate whether  there  are  particular  accessibility  needs  (accessibility  of  training materials, sign language interpretation, etc.).

 

Types of evaluation envisioned

  • Indicate the evaluation levels required for this training; participant satisfaction and learning assessments are mandatory. The assessment of workplace application and results are desirable, but depend on what is planned in the project.
  • Explain that the Consultant will have to propose evaluation methods for each required evaluation level.

 

Certification

  • Please indicate whether a certificate is to be awarded or not at the end of the training. Specify the organization that will issue the certificate, and under what conditions.
  • Post-training follow-up
  • Specify what post-training follow-up is envisioned

 

Scope and Target

  • The overall purpose/goal of the consultancy is to equip the staff with skills in advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • The targeted staff are Logistics, Finance, HR and Project Managers.

 

Consultant’s Profile

Essential:

  • Qualified physiotherapist, occupational therapist or orthopaedic technologist
  • Five years of experience in Wheelchair service delivery
  • Skills: Rehabilitation skills, Wheelchair Assessment, and prescription, Wheelchair productions and fitting,

 

Desired:

  • Certified WHO Wheelchair Trainer for either Basic or Intermediate Wheelchair Service Provision
  • Speaks English

 

DURATION AND PLACE OF PERFORMANCE OF THE SERVICE

The maximum time frame for this assignment will be four days, to be determined

The training shall be conducted in two locations in Kampala and Arua

 

Work Plan

  • Work timetable and the number of days spent by the Consultant should reflect the pre, peri, and post-training activities.
  • The work schedule must specify how the Consultant will approach the activities required to perform the service.
  • The schedule must indicate the progress and or the standard of service performance, including the criteria and or indicators to check that the service provision is proceeding smoothly.

 

Report

A preliminary report is to be submitted for review and a final draft report incorporating all comments. A hard and soft copy of the final report are to be submitted to HI.

 

The report will be in English and consist of the following:

  • Introduction
  • Findings and recommendations
  • Annexes of materials developed

 

The final training report should be completed by a week after the end of training date.
