Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute a procurement strategy, draft and communicate procurement policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the formulation of a business plan that identifies procurement leverage opportunities.
  • Manage the annual budget for the procurement section through proper processing and negotiation of projects and purchases.
  • Source and manage all suppliers.
  • Carry out compliance vetting of all suppliers and regular audits of key contractors
  • Manage the annual budget for the procurement section
  • Manage the procurement routines that ensure that the procurement processes and policies are adhered to
  • Provide procurement services and solutions to the stakeholders
  • Assessment and negotiation of contracts
  • Negotiate for local and international suppliers, prepare price comparisons and cost savings
  • Create and maintain a data base with contractors/suppliers’ references
  • Implement the use of MS/AFR procedures and tools like the OPTIMA e catalogue
  • Supervise and coach the purchasing team





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the TotalEnergies Procurement Manager job must hold a Degree in any Engineering field, Commerce, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a busy environment
  • Strong sense of responsibility and self-motivated
  • Strong Negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of records and store management, Contract administration, Statistical analysis methods and computer applications skills.
  • Good Organizational Skills, a good Planner and executer, highly analytical
  • Working Knowledge of Spread Sheets
  • Good Communication and Team Building Skills
  • Responsive and an aggressive working Spirit
  • Good Interpersonal Skills and Firm/Bold
