About US:

TPO Uganda is a local Ugandan NGO that has been operating in the country for 27 years. Our programs comprise interventions organised around the following themes: Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Care and protection of OVC; child protection, livelihoods support, response and prevention of all forms of violence against women and children as well as emergency response and humanitarian action. TPO Uganda is active in over 45 districts in the region and is a member of several partnerships and coordination mechanisms in the country.

 

Job Summary:  Grants and Partnership Manager will contribute to achieving quality programming by ensuring effective grants management including internal and donor compliance requirements, timely and quality reporting, as well as proposal development.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and/or put in place mechanisms for budget management, control and expenditure monitoring.
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager to prepare variance reports and to monitor budget performance including funds utilization in accordance with approved work plans across all projects.
  • Ensure compliance with grant conditions and build the capacity of field offices (both finance and non-finance staff) in adhering to such conditionality’s agreed upon.
  • Track, update, document, and post into the ledger all funds remitted / transferred in favour of TPO. Strengthen compliance and enhance internal controls systems, support and build capacity of FAOs in budget monitoring and regulation.
  • Oversee the TPO Uganda partnership policy and management of sub-grants to partners.
  • Consolidate and prepare timely accurate financial donor reports in line with donor guidelines and TPO policies and procedures.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Studies, Economics, or Professional qualifications in Accounting and other related fields.
  • At least five years demonstrable experience managing partner sub-grants and interacting with donors on complex multiple grants of which two years experience should be at senior management level.
