Job Summary: For its work in Arua, Uganda, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Driver (m/f/d) – National Position. As the Driver, you will be responsible for driving and maintaining the MI fleet in accordance with MI regulations and policies in order to support program implementation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure provision of reliable and secure driving services
- Ensure the maintenance of the vehicle with respect to Malteser International vehicle management policy
- Solve minor technical problems
- Record all the maintenance is done in the logbook of each vehicle
- Ensure respect for the departure and arrival time of your movement
- Guarantee the good loading and unloading of the car and goods in an appropriate way
- Fill in the Logbook every day according to Malteser International procedures
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate for the Driver job must hold a Uganda Certificate of Education
- Valid driving permit with DL class
- At least two (2) years of experience as a driver with an INGO
- Defensive driving added advantage
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good command of the English language
- Experience working in the West Nile Region and knowledge of the local language is an added advantage
