Job Title:   Coating Inspector

Duty Station: Initially start from Kampala Office and mainly on project sites (Buliisa & Nwoya)

Sinopec Service is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.

 

Job Summary:  The Coating Inspector is to observe the project progress and inspect all coating and painting activities in his/her assigned areas in accordance with Project drawings, plans, specifications and the terms of the Project Contract.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment and construction/installation activities on site.
  • Issues the relevant Quality Records and submit to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports when necessary
  • Ensure qualifications of coating processes.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a BS Degree or equivalent in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar position.
  • Proficient in English, Office Software
  • Ability to perform inspection functions with minimal supervision.
  • Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
  • The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.
