Job Title:   Planning Engineer (2 Job Placements)

Organisation: Sinopec (Uganda)

Duty Station: Initially start from Kampala Office and mainly on project sites (Buliisa & Nwoya)

Sinopec Service is engaged in the provision of all project phases service for various sectors, including oil & gas, power, buildings, roads and bridges etc. We are looking for Construction and Project support personnel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop project schedule and facilite project goals and objectives to be achieved.
• Responsible for the data analysis and processing; Recommend and implement modifications to improve effectiveness and attain project milestones.
• Responsible for regular updates and forecast trends for schedule and resource plans.
• Oversee schedules and risk management plans and provide serious deviations warnings hindering project results.
• Identify changes in work scope in the project plan.
• Prepare and present regular internal and external project reports for management.
• Evaluate and analyze with team risks and issues compromising project results and develop plans to mitigate them.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 3 years similar working experience.
• Proficient in English Language, office software and Primavera P6.
• Successful candidates with relevant experience and recognized expertise in large onshore/offshore oil and gas EPC projects will be preferred.
• The working environment is multicultural and demands considerable experience in the project process working with International Clients and Contractors.
• Strong communication skills, fluent spoken and written English, and Chinese competency will be a plus.
