Since 1997, HealthPartners has leveraged its expertise to develop a health cooperative model based on existing systems and financed by local stakeholders that allows community members in resource poor areas to overcome their health challenges.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train health care provider staff to prepare, launch and manage insurance partnerships. Provide support supervision and maintain routine collection of source data to show progress toward goals.
  • Ensure success at the cooperative provider insurance start up stage and follow through to build provider management capacity evidenced by member growth.
  • Build provider capacity to develop a network of health stakeholders who advocate for increased membership.
  • Lead new provider data tracking in a consistent monitoring tool to enable the project to learn and adapt in terms of what works for training and support to increase enrollment as quickly as possible while ensuring a surplus for providers
  • Support supervision to support providers to prepare to enroll
  • Facilitate Provider Data Review (PDR) and Manager Data review (MDR) meetings to increase accurate data and use of data to make costing and rule decisions that result in increased provider surplus. Build the capacity of providers to learn and adapt as a result of working with one another
  • Review MSA deliverables to provide correct advice to support needed change. Use MSA results to adjust strategies and tools to achieve new capacity building goals.
  • Prepare and submit activity reports five days or less after each activity.
  • Submit requests and accountabilities on time
  • Participate and lead staff and partner meetings
  • Schedule virtual meetings for staff
  • Train staff in core areas of your work for staff to see results and any other roles related to project work assigned to you.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in education, social works and social administration, development studies, or related field.
  • Experience in training trainers and ability to train using measures of success that show participants have learned the stated objectives of training.
  • Demonstrated ability to set goals and follow through complex processes to achieve them.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to accurate and timely reporting.
  • Passion for learning with a keen interest in leading an iterative process of learning and adapting to replace what doesn’t work well with strategies that lead to measureable results.
  • Experience tracking data results over time and using data to improve processes and systems.
  • Ability to identify win-win opportunities to develop effective partnerships.
  • The successful candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to prioritize, follow through to achieve results and handle multiple tasks simultaneously are important in this role.
  • The candidate must be well versed in governance and board relations having served on at least three boards personally.

 

Note: This position may be based in Mbarara or Kampala with ability to travel to Gulu and Mbale required.
