Job Title:       ICT Infrastructure Engineer (Fresh Graduate Jobs)

Organisation: Ministry of Information and Communication Technology

Duty Station:  Kampala, Uganda

Reports to: Senior ICT Infrastructure Engineer

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior ICT Infrastructure Engineer for performing the following duties:-

  • Prescribing appropriate engineering characteristics for ICT infrastructure developments in the Country;
  • Providing technical guidance and support assistance to Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Governments in all matters relating to ICT Infrastructure installations;
  • Regularly identifying issues (of policy in nature) in ICT infrastructure developments/ improvement to be addressed by Government;
  • Ensuring that Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Local Governments have in place optimally running ICT infrastructure and connectivity to the national fibre backbone;
  • In charge of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of legislations, policies, plans and strategies on cabling networks;
  • Conducting research on advances and development of the Communications Technologies and trends;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in either Electronic Engineering; or Electrical Engineering; or Telecommunications Engineering; or Communications Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Age: Above 21 years
