Job Summary:  This position will be part of the Global FP&A team that is based in Berlin, Germany led by the Head of FP&A and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer. This role requires a keen ability to work cross-functionally with Country teams, Global Product, Global Software, Global Data, Global Commercial, and others to develop and maintain strong business and technology relationships, becoming a trusted partner to all stakeholders. Key responsibilities will include helping draw powerful insights for action from our unique, extensive, and rich dataset of customers and driving improvements in our approach to data gathering, analytics, and presentation. Your data insight will make a meaningful impact by enabling Engie A2E to continuously innovate on how we support our customers in their repayment journey.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the country financial models for 2-3 EEA markets
  • Development and analysis of semi-annual budgets and long-range forecasts via annual business planning and quarterly re-forecasting processes
  • Lead the development of new EEA processes, analyses, or tools to support operations at the country and global level
  • Leverage strong country-team relationships and communication skills to support country and global teams in setting and tracking their respective annual performance KPIs and tasks using the monthly performance pack.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a University Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent
  • Masters degree or equivalent work experience is a plus
  • CFA, or other investment or accounting qualifications is a plus
  • At least two years of work experience
  • At least two years of experience or education in business analysis, accounting, audit, consulting, data analysis, statistics, financial analysis, or similar, particularly in sectors like retail financial services
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to synthesize and interpret qualitative and quantitative data into practical strategy recommendations
  • A keen eye for detail and thoughtful investigation of data before relying upon it
  • Skilled in project management, with an exceptional ability to collaborate, influence, and execute against strategy
  • Deep empathy for the customer and commitment to inclusivity, consumer protection, & responsible financial services within the context of creating a profitable, scalable enterprise
  • Strong Microsoft excel skills is a must
  • Experience with Vena or another financial planning solution is a very big advantage
  • SQL skills is an advantage
  • Language(s):  French is a plus
