Job Summary:  The Treasury Accountant will track, maintain and oversee the daily movement of funds in and out of the business and make payments due to other parties.

 

To track and analyze funds in the Mobile Financial Services cycle, and ensure revenue from Mobile Financial Services is consistent with the agreements in place.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Cash Liquidity to enable the organization service its daily obligations.
  • Monitoring and Managing the organization’s relationships with the Banks.
  • Processing Payments to vendors according to their payment terms.
  • Processing and Documenting bank entries.
  • Review all documents from the bank to highlight foreign entries to take up.
  • Manage the Returned Cheque Process.
  • Cash Forecasting.
  • Managing Foreign Currency Exposure and Interest expense.
  • Tracking and Analyzing Mobile Services Investment and Revenue.
  • Deputize Treasurer




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelors in commerce, statistics, Business Administration and or any other Accounting professional qualifications (ACCA or CPA)
  • Three years of experience in day to day cash banking and balance sheet reconciliations
  • High degree of numeracy and have the ability to operate in an evolving environment
  • Solid IT skills including knowledge of an ERP system and the Microsoft Office suite. Good practical experience of Excel is an advantage.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels in the organization.
  • A capacity to work hard, with high commitment and a “self-starter” approach.
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem -solving skills with high attention to detail.
