Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To act as the focal point of contact / responsible person for coordination within the Tilenga project, team, and in liaison with the TEPU Permitting Coordinator (who is responsible for the interface with Authorities and TEPU departments), to ensure that all permit requests are developed, submitted, and obtained in a timely manner in accordance with the relevant legislation and the Permits, Licences, Approvals & Consents (PLANC) Register.
  • To regularly update the PLANC Register with status and generate reports as required.
  • To develop and maintain databases, spreadsheets & reporting tools as necessary to carry out the work.
  • To carry out any duties assigned in furtherance of the above activities or other activities as may be assigned from time to time.

Health, Safety and Environment:

  • To fully comply with office security, health and safety instructions.
  • To stay vigilant and maintain continuous awareness of hazards and surroundings.
  • To report to Management on any issue they may face or observe and propose way of improvement.
  • To share recommendations and ensure the workplace is safe meeting all HSE standards.
  • To fully comply with security rules about traveling in Uganda.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business /Social Sciences, Engineering or Law
  • At least ten years’ experience in Oil & Gas with a good understanding of project activities, maintaining, and control of documents.
  • Knowledge of planning and best practices on oil & gas projects.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
