Job Title:  Field Officer (Fresher Job Opportunities)

Duty Station:   Uganda

Reports to: Project Coordinator

 

About US:

Save for Health Uganda (SHU) is a reputable local non-profit NGO formed in 2002 with a mission to improve the quality of health of Ugandans through Community Health Financing approaches. SHU has expanded and consolidated its activities in Luwero, Nakaseke, Nakasongola and Mityana Districts.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Mobilise and sensitize communities about the health insurance principles and CHI schemes’ functioning;
  • Support communities to create health insurance schemes
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the schemes





Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant must hold a degree in public health, development studies, social sciences, social work or any other relevant field.
  • At least two years’ relevant experience in a similar position.
  • Must have good computer knowledge with abilities in MS Word, excel, power point and internet
  • Must be fluent in speaking Runyankole flexible and ready to work for long hours
  • Must be between 24 and 32 years of age
  • The person needed must be a team player, dynamic, self-motivated, a fast learner, hardworking, flexible and speaking the local language;
