Job Summary:  Enabel in Uganda in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Sports and with funding from the Government of Ireland and the European Union is seeking to recruit 2 (TWO) Intervention Officer – Grants for the Support to the Skilling Uganda Strategy (SSU) Project to be based in Moroto and Arua. This recruitment will also constitute a pool selection for the same position

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You realize the implementation of the portfolio/intervention by providing input for planning, execution, coordination, and monitoring and evaluation of activities in the area of Skills Development and Grants management – in order to ensure that the results of the portfolio/intervention (outputs – outcomes) are achieved with-in the set execution deadline.
  • You provide the necessary technical input in the area of Skills Development and Grants management in order to contribute to achieve the intervention’s technical performance in accordance with national and international norms and standards.
  • You contribute to knowledge building and knowledge management in Skills Development and Grants management, and contribute to development of capacities of partner entities in order to contribute to the improvement of their organisation, their processes and systems and of their staff’s competences.




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Grants Management, Education and Skills Management, Development Studies.
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management is of an added value.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in managing Grants in an international cooperation.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the working with Skill Development Projects.
  • You have broad and in-depth understanding of the various aspects of international cooperation
  • You have experience in skilling for employment as well as experience in working with the private sector of Uganda.
  • You have knowledge in Project Management Methodologies.
  • You have experience in Grants Management in the BTVET sector.
  • You have knowledge and experience in Skills Development and Education.
  • You have experience in knowledge management or organizational learning.
  • You have knowledge and experience in the Education sector of Uganda specifically skilling for jobs.
  • You have very good information and communication technology skills (Excellent knowledge of MS office and internet).
  • You show respect and are able to build relations on the basis of credibility and expertise.
  • You show engagement, sense of responsibility and integrity.
