Job Title:    Quality Assurance Coordinator

Reports to: Technically to the Quality Assurance Specialist and Operationally to the Senior Technical Program Manager

Mildmay Uganda is an indigenous Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services.

Job Summary:  The Quality Assurance Coordinator will ensure effective development and mainstreaming of a functional Quality Assurance Strategy (integration Continuous Quality Improvement and Quality Management systems principles and practices) for effective service delivery across MUg and supported programs with the aim to promote and sustain excellence in programme planning and implementation.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine. A Master’s degree in Public Health is an added advantage.
• Three years of experience of applying Quality Improvement principles in Health Systems Strengthening related work;
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance, M&E/Data, Research or quality management systems.
• Knowledge/skills of Advanced application of Computer and statistical packages Including STATA, SPSS, Epi-Info, MS ACCESS, EXCEL and ability to obtain, analyze and interpret data, and present findings in written and oral form.
• All applicants must have a Non-judgmental approach to human relations; be in sympathy with Mildmay Uganda’s Christian values; possess good communication and interpersonal skills; and must be able to maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues. Customer focus is paramount.
