Job Purpose

We’re currently
expanding our software development team and seeking experienced and/or senior
Test Automation engineers who are the visionaries behind Quality Assurance and
innovation. The senior automation engineers will be responsible for;

·       
Participating
in the test automation tool selection process.

·       
Developing
and executing automated test suites using COTS and custom tools.

·       
Integrating
test suites into the test management system and custom test harnesses.

·       
Performing
other testing-related duties as required. Successful candidates will frequently
act as the support structure for business by recommending new solutions to
improve user experience and quality assurance through continuous testing,
automation, and scripting. The role requires a detailed understanding of
testing automation tools, testing methodologies, automation scripting
language(s) as an essential aspect of a senior test automation engineer’s
day-to-day activities/role.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Technical

·       
Review
requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project
documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed;
i.e., perform manual static testing.

·       
Select
and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques
in test automation; e.g., data-driven testing.

·       
Use
risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites
for various Software Cafeteria products; i.e., perform automated dynamic
testing.

·       
Work
with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test
Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects.

·       
Participate
in the Change Control Board to identify the quality implications of known bugs
and the impact of proposed changes to product definition on the testing
process.

·       
Work
with the Release Engineering team to create and maintain an automated nightly
build verification (“smoke”) test.

·       
Ensure
proper version control and configuration management of all test objects
developed and test environments used.

·       
Coordinate
with product management, software and support engineers to deliver stable
enterprise software products.

·       
Develop
and execute test automation tests (Programming experience needed)

·       
Estimate
tests accurately and coordinate with team members for work activities.

·       
Analyze
and verify best automated and manual test approaches and execute acceptance,
integration, installation and system testing.

·       
Participate
in product design to guarantee adherence of test coverage for meeting end user
requirements.

·       
Record
test results, report and verify software bug fixes to accept automation
criteria.

·       
Coordinate
with the program and development management teams in the product development
lifecycle to conform end user product, quality requirements and shipment
schedule.

·       
Analyze
performance test requirements and develop test plans and debug to understand
test objective requirements.

·       
Prepare
software defect tracking and report entire project release status to
stakeholders.

Results Tracking
and Reporting

·       
Research
and document bug reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon
discovery of a quality problem.

·       
Update
test execution status following agreed-upon processes as part of regular
scheduled test status updates.

·       
Trace
test cases and results back to specific quality risks.

·       
Assist
the Project teams in the creation of test project status reports and metrics
(e.g. Test Dashboard).

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
We seek
a Senior Test Automation Engineer with 4+ years of systems automation testing,
quality assurance, testing lifecycle management experience.

·       
B. S.
degree in Computer Science or similar degree is preferred

·       
Knowledge/Technical
Skills/Expertise

·       
Certifications
(A big plus)

·       
Certifications
in any of the leading Software Testing Suites
