Job Summary:  The role of the Resource Mobilization &
Partnerships Manager is to mobilize and support LWF Uganda program leadership
to identify, capture and develop funding opportunities; ensure effective
strategic partnerships and donor relationships; supervise and develop a highly
effective and responsive resource mobilization team; develop cost-effective
systems and processes; and foster effective and responsive cross-functional
participation in resource mobilization from other internal units.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Manage Resource
Mobilisation Functions

·
Lead the
design and implementation of a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy,
including regular reporting on the strategy goals and benchmarks;

·
Spearhead
proposal development efforts while ensuring efficient coordination with local
and global fundraising team and the submission of high-quality proposals in
strategic priority themes in Uganda;

·
Conduct
an environmental scan/Frequent donor and potential funding mapping and provide
donor intelligence (thematic orientations, modalities of engagement, entry
points and forecasts;

·
Continually
seek innovative means of attracting new donors and seek opportunities to
diversify the funding pool;

·
Develop/enhance
resource mobilisation tools as needed;

·
Monitor
and maintain proposal pipeline and generate monthly reports for managements
strategic decisions;

Strategic
Partnerships for Fundraising:

·
Maintain
an updated donor database and systematically share its content with the country
representative;

·
Document
various meetings with donors, monitor required actions and accompany the
country representative for meetings with donors as required;

·
Engage
in donor relationship management to ensure donor retention and upgrades while
capturing new development partners;

·
Identify
and cultivate relations with strategic implementing partners for prospective
consortium initiatives and for better understanding of strategic and
organizational strengths, alignment and collaboration;

·
Inoculate
innovation and research partnerships to increase LWF visibility.

Other Roles
Include:

·
Participate/support
in project inception meetings to ensure the project concepts are understood as
designed and submitted to donors

·
Represent
LWF in strategic forums both locally and internationally

·
Build
the capacity of LWF staffs and partners on resource mobilisation as required

·
Together
with the communication team, engage in organisation brand building

 


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·
The
ideal candidate for the LWF Uganda Resource Mobilization & Partnerships
Manager job opportunity should hold a University Degree in a related field;

·
Post-graduate
qualification in related/ relevant fields is an added advantage;

·
At least
five years of experience in a similar position;

·
Demonstrate
well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written,
as well as negotiation skills;

·
Ability
to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines;

·
Ability
to exercise sound judgment, to remain flexible and make decisions
independently.
