About US:

The Uganda
Development Corporation (UDC) was set up by the Uganda Development Corporation
Act 2016 as the investment arm of Government with the primary objective of
facilitating industrial and economic development of the country. This
objective is met through; establishment of subsidiary and associated companies,
entering into public private partnerships with any commercial, industrial or
agricultural undertaking or enterprises, assisting in financing and management
of undertakings promoting industrial or economic development; and promoting and
facilitating research into industrial development. 

Job Summary:   The Senior Economist will spearhead the
preparation of corporations work plans, budgets for various investments,
monitoring and evaluation of such investments.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
Senior Economist should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics or related field
such as commerce from a recognized University/Institution

·       
Minimum
of a post Graduate qualification from a recognized institution

·       
Training
in Project Planning and Management is an added advantage

·       
Working
experience of at least 6 years in a related field

·       
Age: Below 54 years
