the financial services business of Uganda Finance Trust Limited (MDI). Today

over 400,000 depositors and over 23,000 borrowers, through a network of 35
branches country wide. The bank offers a variety of Products and services
including; Savings, Current accounts, Loans, Money transfer services and Bills
payments to its target market which comprises of micro, small and medium
entrepreneurs, salary earners and youth.

 

Job Summary:  The ICT Security Administrator will proactively plan for safety and
adequacy of ICT business solutions in Finance Trust Bank.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Participate
IT Security maintenance, change management, training, UATs and support to
ensure secure systems, applications and databases.

·       
Identify
threats and participate in creation of steps to defend against them.

·       
Participate
in vulnerability and penetration tests across ICT infrastructure and
applications.

·       
Configure
and monitor security systems such as firewalls, antivirus, and IDS/IPS software
etc.

·       
Analyze
current security requirements and make suggestions for improvements

·       
Participate
in access control, business continuity, incident response, and risk management
needs in the organization

·       
Management
of IT networks such as Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Local Area Networks
(LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).

·       
Configure
systems while ensuring that IT security policies are adhered to.

·       
Ensure
orderly transitions during upgrades, fixes and patches.

·       
Update
software on the latest security patches, and ensure that each network resource
has the proper defenses as per set policies and standards

·       
Participate
in risk assessments of all business applications, ICT installations and ensure
that information systems are adequately protected.

·       
Apply
information security policies and standards

·       
Review
and update service level agreements (SLA’s).

·       
Participate
in information security awareness program of the organization.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant for the Finance Trust Bank ICT Security Administrator job should
hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or computer engineering.

·       
Certified
Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP) or CISM will have an added
advantage.

·       
CISCO
CCNA Certified, CCNP level knowledge (CCNP qualification holders will have an
advantage)

·       
IT
security training or Certification.

·       
At least
three years of experience in a similar field in a reputable organization.

·       
Working
experience configuring advanced enterprise networks (LANs & WANs).

·       
Highly
analytical and effectively able to troubleshoot and prioritize needs,
requirements and other issues.

·       
Strong
knowledge of security aspects such as authentication, access control, firewall
technologies, disaster prevention and recovery, intrusion detection,
encryption, and data integrity

·       
Skills
in programing with applications and database security methodologies.

·       
Good
communications, teamwork, and conflict management skills.

·       
Good
working knowledge of SLA’s and policies.

·       
Ability
to work under pressure and minimum supervision.

·       
Good
practical administrative experience with enterprise grade technologies.

·       
Proven
administrative skills in Linux and windows environments

·       
Good
working knowledge of information security standards, frameworks and guidelines.

·
