Development, announces the availability of a Ministry opportunity (job vacancy)
in the Children’s ministry.

 

Job Summary:  The Child Development Officer (CDO) Sponsor
Donor Relations will implement Child Development Programs for selected
beneficiaries and will be expected to exhibit high sense of integrity,
stewardship, dignity and excellence at all levels.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Serves
as an advocate for children and caregivers

·       
Take
lead of the Child Development Programs.

·       
Generate
quality Survival Child Development Program work plans, reports- monthly,
quarterly and annually.

·       
Generate
concepts and proposals related to survival interventions within the Child
Development Centre.

·       
Monitoring
of program areas among households supported and make submissions to the
supervisor.

·       
Proper
documentation and record keeping of all information within the Survival Program
desk.

·       
To work
closely with the local church in developing their child care ministry

·       
Responsible
for holistic development of beneficiaries

·       
Works
closely with other staffs under the supervision of the Project Director

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant should preferably hold a Degree or Diploma in Development Studies,
Social Work, Education, Child Development and Children’s Ministry, Business
Studies, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Community psychology and community
health.

·       
Must be
a mature born-again Christian of 25-35 years with a sound testimony willing to
be an active minister in the local church where she/he is posted

·       
Knowledge
in counseling, guidance and Child development will be an added advantage.

·       
Willing
to work for extra hours in a case of emergencies and deadlines.

·       
Must
have good interpersonal and computer skills. a team builder and willing to take
initiative with customer care

·       
Working
ability to apply and adapt established accounting procedures to a variety of
accounting transactions, problem and situations.

·       
Good
written communication skills and strong verbal communication skills,
intermediate English ability is preferred

·       
Skills
in project planning and management will be an added advantage.

·       
Formal
training in counselling and Child Development will be added advantage

·       
Previous
supervisory experience desired

·       
Ability
to observe team work and is innovative in assignment.

·       
Conversant
with the local language of the area (Ateso) will be an added advantage.
