pediatric HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services, health professional
training, and clinical research in Uganda. Baylor College of Medicine
Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit
child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of
Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of
paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of
Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and
Eastern Europe.
Job Summary: The Quality Improvement Advisor will provide
technical support for CQI capacity building for district HW to ensure
integration of quality improvement in routine activities. It will strengthen
and monitor the implementation of systems and strategies for managing quality
improvement initiatives impacting core clinical processes and critical patient
care functions as per the district QI structure.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Medical related Master’s degree preferably
Masters in Pediatrics and Child Health - Must be a registered doctor with the Uganda Medical and Dental
Practitioners’ Council (UMDPC) - Trained in comprehensive HIV/AIDS/TB care and support services
- At least seven (7) years working experience as a medical personnel,
with four (4) years program of experience managing QI initiatives, in a
reputable HIV oriented Non-Governmental Organization - A good knowledge of project planning management principles, donor
guidelines, coupled with strong understanding of HIV interventions using
quality improvement approaches. - Competence to build the capacity of health workers in HIV/AIDS
programming and quality improvement.
