Baylor-Uganda is a
private not for profit child health and development organization providing
family-centered pediatric HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services,
health professional training, and clinical research in Uganda. Baylor College
of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous
not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the
Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a
Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres
of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa
and Eastern Europe.

 

Job Summary:   The Governance and Leadership Coordinator
will be responsible for increasing the performance, productivity and
accountability of the district leadership and coordination structures, health
facility leadership through health systems strengthening leadership and
governance interventions, capacity building and addressing the leadership and governance
gaps for better health outcomes at district Level.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant must hold a Degree in Social work & Social
    Administration, Social Sciences, Governance, Adult & Community
    Education, Community Development or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree in a related field
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning or Monitoring and
    Evaluation, A Master’s degree in a related field will be an added
    advantage
  • Five years of demonstrated work related experience in Leadership
    skills development and Governance interventions, Capacity Building,
    working with central/local government, Civil Society institutions
  • Work related experience in building partnerships, networking, and
    stakeholder engagement at national and International level.
