Job Summary:  The Procurement & Logistics Officer is
responsible for managing supply chain processes for the field location.  He/she will be engaged in the day-to-day
procurement process and reporting.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

supplier registration and filing of all procurement -related documentation.

and update data entry of procurement related tasks and ensure all details are
up to date at all times.

and follow up with suppliers and finance department to ensure timely payment of
suppliers on a weekly basis

outstanding payments to suppliers and update suppliers accordingly where

monthly procurement reports and submit it to Area Manager and key staff by
every 5th of each month.

and file all procurement -related undertakings in accordance with FCA’s
Procurement Manual and Archiving policy.

support in managing Inventory & Stock Management and ensure rules and
regulations are followed.

and share the procurement tracking system on a regular basis.

and updating approved vendor database.

other duty assigned by Supervisor.


Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

applicant for the Finn Church Aid (FCA) Procurement & Logistics Officer job
placement must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply chain/Procurement and
Logistics Management from a recognized institution and additional
qualifications in CIPS will be an added advantage.

minimum of two years of relevant experience from a reputable NGO or

experience with a humanitarian organization will be an added advantage

integrity, pro-active, stable, robust character and a good team-player

analytical and negotiation skills.

commitment to accountability practices.

ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work with limited supervision

knowledge in Computer skills.

management, communication, teamwork, capacity building and report writing

to work independently when necessary, set realistic goals, and work within
agreed timelines
