in West Nile (Uganda)

Job Summary:  To provide technical leadership to the project
staff implementing activities in areas of operation. 
To ensure timely
reporting and accountability for all project activities in Area of
jurisdiction.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Prepare Area Work Plans and Budgets for
review by the Programme Coordinator;

·       Supervise Field staff within Area of
jurisdiction;

·       Train/mentor the Project staff under your
supervision

·       Supervise and monitor implementation of
approved Area Work Plans

·       Prepare and submit periodic project progress
reports in a timely manner as determined by the Executive Director

·       Ensure proper utilization and accountability
for all resources allocated to the Project Area;

·       Provide effective team leadership to all
staff in Area of jurisdiction;

·       Appraise all Project Officers in a timely
manner as per CEFORD Service Regulations;

·       Represent CEFORD in the Sector Working Groups
as requested

·       Build sound and mutually respectable
relations with the communities and stakeholders served by the Area;

·       Adhere to the Humanitarian Principles and
Codes of Conduct; CEFORD Codes of Conduct.

·       Ensure participation of women and other
age/sex groups in CEFORD works.

·       Act in a way that is sensitive to gender,
protection, HIV, environment and other important crosscutting concerns.

·       Perform any other duties and responsibilities
that may be assigned by the Executive Director or his/her designee.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       The ideal candidate must hold a Degree in
Agriculture, Social Work, Rural Development or related field

·       Post graduate training in project management
an added advantage

·       Good understanding of local government
policies and operations; Humanitarian standards and principles

·       Computer skills in MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint)

·       At least two years’ experience in similar work

·       Mature, responsible professional of high
integrity

·       Ability to ride motorcycle and valid riding
permit an added advantage
