trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating
in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda,
and South Sudan. On behalf of one our clients we are looking for a competent,
skilled, and experienced person to Head organizational Operations in Kampala
Uganda

Job Summary:  The Head of Operations is responsible for
managing all aspects of the COP Network in Uganda. This includes power
availability, maintenance, refurbishment of all COP site-based infrastructure
(towers, generators, and other components). This role is also responsible for
technical standards, quality assurance, tower maintenance and structural
integrity. Obtaining and verifying all site-based information, principally
around energy consumption.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Develop,
communicate and Manage the Operations strategy and follow through to execution
key deliverables e.g. reducing OPEX, increasing power availability

·       
Effectively
manage the Operations team to develop the appropriate customer solutions

·       
Manage
relationships with our contractors to ensure they are meeting our demands

·       
To
develop and manage client relationships as a point of knowledge in order to
maximize American Tower opportunities with its current and potential customers

·       
Work
very closely with Sales Director to develop solutions to customer needs.

·       
Establish
team goals and develop tracking metrics to ensure that expectations for the
team are met monthly and quarterly

·       
Put in
place Site access control and ensure this is adhered to by the team and our
customers and contractors

·       
Fully
understand how power availability impacts our customers and continuously look
for ways to improve the customer experience

·       
Have a
strong understanding of generators and power equipment in order to provide the
right solutions to the customer

·       
Management
of HSE team to ensure compliance requirements are implemented and adhered to by
staff, customers, and our contractors

·       
Manage
the structures team to ensure that there is structural tower integrity in all
COP Uganda sites as per policy.

·       
Proactively
identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources

·       
Recruit,
develop and retain staff, partnering with Sr. Management and Human Resources.
This includes on-boarding and orientation for new hires.

·       
Provide
disciplined performance management for team. Define and communicate annual
goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and
updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.

·       
Create
strong collaborative team environment.

Supervisory
responsibilities:

·       
Supervise
and manage the performance of direct reports as well as strategic partners.

·       
Proactively
identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources for
the executive team.

·       
Recruit,
develop and retain staff, partnering with Senior Management and Human
Resources.

·       
Provide
disciplined performance management for team.

·       
Define
and communicate annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews,
and ensure changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional
manner.

·       
Create
strong collaborative team environment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The applicant
must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

·       
Experience
in Management of Operations and Maintenance responsibility within a Tower Co.
and mobile operator.

·       
15+
years Wireless Industry Experience

·       
10+ years
Senior Management Experience

·       
Very
strong technical competence relevant for the role

·       
Ability
to solve problems in a dynamic work environment

·       
High

Very
strong follow through

Ability

Environment:

·       
50% of
work will be performed in climate-controlled internal office environment
working under normal office conditions. 50% travel will be required in support
of the position’s responsibilities.

·       
While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit;
stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and
hands; talk and hear.  While performing
the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel,
and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
