Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Support the overall
    implementation of the Spotlight Initiative programme and ensure delivery
    of counter trafficking activities;
  • Pro-actively contribute to
    day-to-day implementation of the Spotlight Initiative programme and ensure
    conformity to expected results and programme work-plans;
  • Provide support to
    programme team in the implementation of their tasks for the achievement of
    programme results (process payments, communication, procurements,
    contracts, agenda, etc.);
  • Maintain records on all
    programme personnel/consultants and their respective status (contracts,
    ToRs, time and attendance – if appropriate, etc.) in accordance with
    accepted policies and procedures;
  • Make pertinent logistical
    arrangements for the prompt and effective implementation of programme
    activities;
  • Take records of programme
    related meetings;
  • Assume overall
    responsibility for administrative matters of a more general nature, such
    as registry and maintenance of programme files and records;
  • Arrange external and
    internal meetings (including the meetings of the Programme Board,
    Technical level, as well as other relevant meetings, etc.).
  • Ensure proper recording of
    cost recovery of non-core funded projects
  • Coordinate with relevant
    Government counterparts on the delivery of cross border counter
    trafficking activities;
  • Act as the focal person
    for the Spotlight Initiative Programme and participate in relevant
    coordination meetings;
  • Support and work directly
    with implementing partners in the delivery of livelihood support
    activities;
  • Assist in designing and
    dissemination of public information on TIP;
  • Conduct monitoring of
    implementing partners’ activities and provide regular written reports;
  • Provide logistical support
    in organizing and coordinating workshops, meetings, and training in
    relation to the programme activities;
  • Update reporting and
    monitoring tools to keep track of programme activities and ensure that all
    relevant documentation is produced and made available upon request;
  • Ensure liaison between the
    IOM DTM team and the FMP enumerators and provide further support as
    needed;
  • Perform any other day to
    day duties as may be required from time to time in the programme unit to
    ensure conformity to expected result.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant for
    the United Nations UNDP Programme Assistant job placement should hold Secondary
    Education preferably with specialized certification in Accounting and
    Finance. University Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences, Business
    Administration, International Relations or other relevant field would be
    desirable, but it is not a requirement.
  • Five years of relevant
    experience is required in the field of protection and or counter
    trafficking;
  • Strong understanding and
    experience implementing projects in the field of migration
  • Proficient in computer
    software: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Words, Excel and Internet Explorer)
