Job Summary:  The business analyst’s primary objective is to
support the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by
determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them
clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners. The business analyst will
also use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process
change requests, and manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation and
deployment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

Requirements  Management and Improvement: 50 %

  • Assisting with the business case
  • Business Requirements gathering and analysis
  • Eliciting requirements to the expected granular level
  • Planning and monitoring of the requirements defined
  • Requirements organization(mapping)
  • Translating and simplifying requirements
  • Requirements management and communication
  • Test case definition in line with requirements
  • Value Management: Assess and validate if a solution has fulfilled
    the business requirements defined

People: 25 %

  • Facilitate requirements collection and consolidation workshops and
    make presentations to the stakeholders.

Change Management:
20 %

  • Support and embed Business Performance Improvement initiative.
  • Manage, control and monitor business requirements collection and
    review for the projects
  • Business case development aligned to the requirements identified.

Self Development:
2.5%

  • Agree performance development objectives with the team leaders.
  • Pursue self-development to increase personal effectiveness,
    acknowledging strengths and areas for development.

Community: 2.5 %

  • Be involved in local community events and networking opportunities
    (e.g. clubs, meetings, business associations)
  • Identify community initiatives to become involved in and support as
    part of Barclays community initiatives (such as Make a Difference Day,
    Local community initiative, Financial Literacy)
  • Link community initiatives to both business opportunities and
    colleague events
  • Promote community agenda within the branch to build pride within
    colleagues and customers

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
