Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the warehouse operations and
    teams, including Inbound, Inventory, Order Processing, and Aftersales
  • Create SLAs, processes and KPI’s for
    evaluating and improving performance
  • Use order life analysis to monitor
    end-to-end warehouse process and improve operational efficiency
  • Set up new and continuously improve
    existing warehouse operations processes
  • Design dashboards to easily identify
    bottleneck areas of the operational processes
  • Oversee daily reporting on
    Incidents/Change/Problem tickets and SLA status
  • Monitor the queues closely to identify
    anomalies and thus improve customer satisfaction
  • Ensure the timely scan at all the legs
    and updating in systems for movement as transferable unit
  • Liaise with the technical teams as well
    as the local teams on all matters related to warehousing systems
  • Controlling against losses and damages
    from inventory by way of daily cycle counts and processes to prevent
    potential incidences
  • Controlling Out-of-Stock incidents
    arising within inventory

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Jumia Head
    of Warehouse job should hold a Degree in the fields of logistics, business
    administration, engineering or other relevant field
  • Proven experience in warehousing and/or
    logistics
  • Experience in Project Management.
  • Previous experience in e-commerce
    operations is a plus
  • Analytical mindset able to leverage data
    to make business decisions. Highly proficient in use of MS Office
    especially Excel. SQL skills a plus
  • Team player, able to build trust with
    people quickly and resolve conflicts when needed
  • Proactive and has a passion to be
    hands-on on the field
