About US:

The Higher Education
Students’ Financing Board (HESFB) is a body Corporate established by an Act of
Parliament, number 2 of 2014, to provide both Loans and Scholarships to Ugandan
Students to pursue Higher Education. The objective of the Loan Scheme is to
increase equitable access to Higher Education in Uganda and also support
qualified students who may not afford the cost of Higher Education.

Job Summary:  The Driver will provide administrative
support, maintain the Board vehicle and ensure safety of Board Vehicles and
passengers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Driving and ensuring safety of authorized passengers of the Board.
  • Maintain Board vehicle clean and ensuring that it is in a good
    mechanical condition at all times.
  • Carryout daily mechanical checks, fuel intake of the vehicle and
    report if any malefaction exists.
  • Ensuring that licensing and servicing of the vehicle is promptly
    done.
  • Filing mileage and maintenance of the log sheets and fuel refill of
    the vehicles.
  • Delivery of official correspondence, mail and documents to different
    slake holders.
  • Report any accidents or injuries to the supervisor
  • Performing vehicle inspection before and after each trip.
  • Any other duties as assigned to him/her from time to time by the
    line supervisor.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold an ordinary level certificate with at least
    a pass in English and Mathematics.
  • A relevant driving Permit and a certificate in Defensive driving.
  • Qualification in Motor vehicle maintenance will be of added
    advantage
  • Certificate/Diploma in any field will be of added advantage.
  • Four years of driving experience in a reputable organization.
  • Hold a valid driving permit
