focuses on three priority areas: Saving lives in Emergencies; Building
Resilience through Predictable Safety Nets; Improving Nutrition &
Mother-and Child Health; and Supporting Small Holder Farmers to Access Markets.
WFP has operations in various parts of the Country.

Job Summary:  The Programme Policy Officer (Performance
Management) will be responsible for performance management of both programme
portfolio n Food systems (Agriculture and Market Support and Home-Grown School
Feeding). The incumbent will support strengthen capacity support to the
Area/Field Offices; Coordinate programme information collection, analysis and
documentation including digital solutions and strategically position WFP
vis-a-vis government partners, donors and other government actors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide operational support to the Area/Field Offices in documenting
    evidence and adopting digital solutions to programme information
    management;
  • Manage partnerships for Food Systems programmes (Agriculture and
    Market Support and Home-Grown School Feeding) at national level such as
    implementing partner selection, service provider selection, annual
    planning and review as well as consolidation and analysis of reports;
  • Strengthen a system for evidence generation, including for national
    and sub-national capacity building activities, and introduce and expand
    digital information management;
  • Document and share Food Systems Programme Performance within WFP as
    well as with government partners, donors and other development actors;
  • Contribute to resource mobilisation via robust, evidence based
    proposal and report writing;

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the United Nations UN World Food Programme
    (WFP) Programme Policy Officer (Performance Management) job placement
    should an advanced University degree in any of the following areas: Social
    Sciences, Education, Agriculture, Development Studies or a First
    University degree with additional years of related work experience;
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Strategic Planning. Project
    Performance management as well as development;
  • Knowledgeable in the use of digital project management tools
  • Proficiency with using Microsoft Application
