Job Summary:  Solid Rock Life & Business (SRLB) is
looking for experienced Pipefitter Instructors who will be responsible for the
preparing and conducting training programs. Please note that this is a 6 months
Consultancy.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Instruct
and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials, in order
to prevent injuries and damage

·        
Instruct
students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods such as
lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.

·        
Maintain
accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policies,
and administrative regulations.

·        
Prepare
materials and classrooms for class activities in collaboration with basic
skills instructor.

·        
Establish
clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those
objectives to students.

·        
Teaches
the depth and scope of class materials as outlined in the syllabus and catalog
and relates the instruction to careers and employer expectations

·        
Demonstrate,
promote and require safety at all times.

·        
Create
modules, and workshops questions

·        
Demonstrate,
promote and require safety at all times.

·        
Performs
miscellaneous job-related duties as assign

·        
Position
the weld set up, fit the piping and perform welds

·        
Managing
training resources

·        
Ensure
training materials, tools and equipment are safely stored after use by students

·        
Responsible
for basic repairs of machines, tools and equipment while executing duties.

·        
Develop
and Prepare appropriate training materials for efficient and effective delivery
of the skills.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The
ideal candidate should have five years of related working experience in
industrial pipe fitting experience

·        
Degree/Diploma
or Certifications (in a technical field)

·        
Relevant
technical accreditations

·        
Demonstrated
industrial construction/maintenance experience

·        
Must
understand how to read and interpret ISO’s, blueprints, construction drawings
technical manuals and instructions to determine work procedures

·        
Must
have ability to weld to a qualified procedure using SMAW (STICK) and GTAW (TIG)

·        
Ability
to operate scissor lifts, fork trucks, boom lifts, lulls and other industrial
equipment safely

·        
Must be
able to work at heights in a safety harness

·        
Controlling
operations of equipment or systems

·        
Controlling
machines and processes by using either control mechanisms or direct physical
activity to operate machines or processes

·        
Must be
able to determine the appropriate tool or equipment needed for each specific
task

·        
Performing
general physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs
and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking,
stooping and handling of materials

·        
Training/s
in e.g. Job Safety Analysis, Work Place Fundamental Risks & Assessments,
Manual Handling,

·        
Instructor  Technical Training

Competencies 

·        
Strong
interpersonal and communication skills

·        
Critical
thinking and problem solving

·        
Experienced
user of MS Office Toolset
