Job Summary: The
Maintenance Manager will support Eskom Uganda (EUL) in achieving its vision of
providing reliable electricity by providing asset care and maintenance
solutions in a methodical, consistent, auditable, cost effective and optimized

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strategic guidance and business planning support to the
    Maintenance sections, I order to effectively maintain plant assets and
    improve outage performance procedures, standards, systems, tools and
  • Manage the performance of direct reports by implementing effective
    talent and people Management strategies.
  • Manage the department Finances within the budget

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the Eskom Maintenance Manager job placement should
    preferably hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or
    Electro-Mechanical or Control and Instrumentation.
  • A Masters or Doctorate qualification in Business Administration,
    Business Management or other related leadership areas is an added
  • Compulsory Professional registration reputable body: Registered as a
    professional Engineer.
  • Seven years of practical and related work experience in related
  • Three years of experience are in management position.

  • Deep understanding of hydro-power operations

  • Understanding of energy sector Uganda
