formed in 2009 has revolutionised the passenger transport industry using
technology and innovation. It has a fleet of 25 modern buses to transport
passengers plying the West Nile region and several trucks for cargo transport.
KK Coaches Ltd has 6 local offices located in the West Nile region that cater
for the road travel requirements. Besides it has two fully equipped workshops
in Kampala and Arua town to keep servicing the fleet.

Job Summary:  The General Manager is responsible for the
day- to-day aspects of the Bus Terminal including the workshop, providing leadership,
strategic direction, management and evaluation of all aspects of this Transport
sector while playing a key role in external representation, legal compliance,
vehicle engineering, transport coordination and team leadership.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Handle finance, marketing, operations, reporting systems,
    procurement, organisational management and human resources.
  • Take lead of the full range of business functions and systems with a
    high level of business acumen including financial management, balancing
    service delivery against budget realities
  • Offer leadership to strategic development, building teams,
    developing accountability and
  • performance-focused culture, empowering talented individuals,
    providing effective coaching and mentoring
  • Participate in capacity-building ability: nurturing talent, building
    organizational capacity and cultivating entrepreneurial approaches;

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Transport and
    logistics or a related field, possession of mechanical engineering
    qualification is an added advantage.
  • At least eight years of relevant experience in a similar industry
    /Automobile Field
  • Must demonstrate good communication skills both oral and written;
  • Demonstrable experience in the Human Resource function with strong
    planning, organising, leadership and co-ordination skills;
  • Should be able to execute with minimum supervision
  • Must have hands on experience in computers (especially MSWord and
  • Should be able to meet or exceed goals and be able to drive
  • Knowledge of spoken Swahili is an added advantage.
