Watoto Child Care
Ministries is a ministry of Watoto Church that rescues vulnerable children and
restores dignity to them by providing holistically for their physical,
spiritual and emotional needs. Watoto has operations in Kampala, Wakiso,
Mpigi and Gulu.

Job Summary:  The Sponsorship Assistants will mainly
coordinate and support correspondence between the sponsored individuals in the
program and their sponsors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • To arrange and support the writing of appealing biannual letters by
    beneficiaries to each sponsor.
  • To ensure initial on site screening of all letters for appropriate
    content according to guidelines.
  • To initiate sponsor letter to new sponsors and ensure new sponsor
    letters are written on the appropriate templates.
  • To distribute letters sent by sponsors to their sponsored
    beneficiary.
  • To arrange for the mailing of letters written by sponsored
    individuals to their sponsor.
  • To support Watoto village staff on issues of correspondence.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant for the Watoto Sponsorship Assistant job opportunity
    should hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work and social
    administration and other related courses.
  • The applicant should be a fresh graduate.
  • Should have good inter-personal skills and ability to relate well
    with children of all ages.
  • High level of motivation, initiative and strive for a high standard
    of practice.
