The Association of
Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Uganda (AOGU) is a registered non-profit,
professional organization with a mandate to promote professionalism, undertake
research, represent its members at local, regional, international level and
champion Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights of the people in the region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day project activities at AOGU and report to the
national project coordinator. - Organize and facilitate project activities at the AOGU Head office,
regularly liaise with the project team and technical supervisors to ensure
that activities are performed and timelines kept. - Ensure that training materials and equipment are available and ready
for use by the trainers and trainees during trainings. - Draft and update the Project Schedules/Activities File and Critical
Document Checklist. - Collaborate with the various partners and stakeholders who will have
an influence on the success of the project. - Be secretary to Project technical committee and securely keep all
minutes. - Be In-charge of the Archive and records.
- Arrange and attend teleconferences and meetings of the project as
needed at AOGU. - Participate in some of the training and mentorship activities and
ensure that documents/all activities are being carried out as planned. - Coordinate Staff travel to the field.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the National Project
Coordinator
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal candidate should at least have a Bachelor’s Degree in Project
Management, Business Administration, Public administration or related
field. - A minimum of three years’ experience in Office Administration and
Management. - Experience in working with Local Governments in Project
Implementation will be an added advantage. - Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint
etc.) - Proven ability to demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness,
perseverance, highly motivated with a proven ability to work both
independently and as part of a Team. - Good problem solving, decision making and analytical abilities.
- A very high standard of Personal Integrity.
NB: This position is open to Ugandan nationals
only.
