Job Summary:  The Human Resource Business Officer is
responsible for aYo Uganda human resource operations in line with the business

Role Objective: The position requires a solid experience of all HR practices and employee
management and the ability to establish all the required policies and procedures,
in consultation with Head Office, in line with local Labour legislation and
practices.  The successful HRBO acts as
an employee champion, the voice of the people and change agent. The role
assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. The HRBO maintains a positive
culture of the business whilst preserving the brand values.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

HR Business
Officer

Provides
guidance to stakeholders in aligning business requirements with HR solutions.

Advises
on Employee Relations issues in line with local law and regulations

·        
Change
Agent                                                         

·        
Navigates
employees and management through change.

·        
Contributes
to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and
provides exceptional employee relations

Administrative
Expert                                                                 

·        
Facilitates
the implementation of the Performance Management Process.

·        
Facilitates
Learning and Development for all staff, including performance improvement plans

·        
Ensures
full compliance of HR procedures and processes such as payroll, leave,
terminations, joiners, probation, professional conduct etc.).                                     

·        
Recruitment:
to assist with the process of attracting, evaluating, and hiring employees for
aYo Uganda

Employee
Champion.                                                       

·        
Implements
sound employee relations practices and support the resolution of employee
relations matters. 

·        
Resolves
complex employee relations issues and address grievances.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The applicant
must hold a Degree in HR Management, Human Sciences or any equivalent
qualification

·        
At least
five years of experience in HR.

·        
Passion
for People and results driven.

·        
Demonstrable
experience with Human Resources metrics.

·        
To be
able to communicate (written and oral) in English and the local language(s)

·        
The
ability to work quickly, under pressure, and with short and competing deadlines

·        
Knowledge
of:

In addition, you
will need to be able to work in a regularly changing environment, be prepared
to take on and let go of tasks and functions to meet changing company
requirements. You also need to be aware that the premises of aYo Uganda could
change from time to time and that you may have to travel to international
destinations for training purposes.
