Job Summary:  The Planning Officer will be mainly responsible
for data gathering and conducting intermediate-level analysis to provide
recommendations/solutions related to NAS (National Aviation Services)
Operations staffing levels for EBB station and functions for future flight
schedules.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Creates and analyzes manpower, headcount projections, variance
    reports, labor productivity, operational performance metrics and other
    management reports
  • Perform routine reporting such as department statistical reporting
    on operations, agent performance, monthly headcount productivity reporting
    and related variance
  • Monthly trends station performance in relation to clients’ Service
    Level Agreements (SLA)
  • To constantly monitor and propose effective shift patterns to match
    business requirements, optimizing performance of all teams and maximizing
    agent satisfaction
  • To identify and pro-actively manage changes to the shift patterns to
    deliver improved customer service, working as team with Operations,
    facilitate smooth communication and transition, maintaining and
    communicating a formal historic record of the changes and their impact
  • To deliver effective & accurate reports detailing key
    performance indicators and commentary relating to workforce and shift
    performance, identifying the proposed and actual shift efficiency factors
    and clearly stating all assumptions applied
  • Utilizes resource planning tool, staffing standards, volume forecast
    and labor constraints to develop optimal staffing recommendations for
    future flight schedules for assigned stations
  • Reviews recommendations with departments and works with Station
    Manager to finalize manpower authorization levels for each month
  • May also gather best practice data and may make program/process
    recommendations to support corporate/division programs and policy updates
  • Proactively seeks out opportunities on process improvement for
    operational departments
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to reduce service defects and
    to save costs
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a Quantitative or
    Operations related field (ex: Quantitative Economics, Statistics,
    Operations Management, engineering, math, business statistics etc)
  • One to two years of experience in resource planning working in
    operations department
  • Skills: Analytical
    Skills, Interpersonal, Communication Organizational Skills, Supervisory
    skills, aptitude in measurement, assessment and evaluation, Capacity/ staffing
    modelling experience, planning and execution, ability to work well under
    pressure and adhere to deadlines and proficient in Excel and Microsoft
    Office
