Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Tasked with capturing metadata in respect of the paper copy into a
    GIS geothermal database;
  • Integrating thematic data so as to produce geothermal conceptual
    models;
  • Producing updated maps of data generated from the field surveys;
  • Reviewing the status of geothermal licenses in order to inform
    decision making;
  • Ensuring that all captured data are properly archived and updated;
  • Carrying out capacity building on the best available GIS techniques;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours
    Bachelor of Science Degree in Geosciences, or Geology, or Surveying, or
    Geological Resource Management from a recognized University.
  • Ethics and integrity; interpersonal, communication and computer
    skills; ability to adapt to multi cultural settings; effective
    organizational and planning skills; time management skills; technical
    skills; report writing skills; negotiation skills; capacity for teamwork;
    innovation and concern for results, quality and standards.
  • Age: Below 21
    years
