preferential position for Medical Bureaus and Sustainability of Member Health
Units.

Job Summary:
The Compliance Assistant – CCTV Surveillance will be responsible for the
monitoring of JMS CCTV surveillance system and ensuring real time or immediate
reporting of irregularities detected to the Compliance Officer – CTV
Surveillance and/or Director Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor images and footage to identify unusual, suspicious or
    questionable events and make detailed note of incidents.
  • Real time communication of incidents to the relevant directors,
    managers and officers
  • Communicate detected irregularities to the CCTV Surveillance Officer
    and/or Director Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance as appropriate.
  • Immediately report to the Surveillance Officer or in his/her absence
    to the Director Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance, and Director
    Technical Services, any CCTV systems malfunctions detected.
  • Provide daily reports on occurrences observed during the course of
    the shift.
  • Log in the CCTV Control Room Register, names of all persons that
    enter the Control Room.
  • Carry out regular troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment

Key Performance Indicators

  • Number of real time incidents/suspicious occurrences detected and
    reported
  • Proportion of internally detected and flagged incidents not detected
    vs externally detected and flagged incidents.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Joint Medical Store (JMS) Compliance
    Assistant – CCTV Surveillance job placement must hold a Diploma in
    Computer networking, information systems, computer science, and crime
    investigation
  • Degree in Computer networking, information systems, computer
    science, and crime investigation is added advantage
  • Certificate in CCTV systems.
  • Good knowledge of ICT background with emphasis to CCTV operation
  • Good eye for detail.
  • Previous practical experience of working with CCTV Surveillance
    Systems.
  • Experience in crime detection, investigation and reporting
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to identify small, apparently insignificant details
  • Function within the enclosed environment of a Control Room.
  • Dependable, honest and able to maintain confidentiality
  • Familiar with workplace incident investigations
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed oral, written (report writing) communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize work and follow up tasks and
    issues to the end.
  • Ability to work flexible hours in shifts including weekends and
    holidays.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Email)
