preferential position for Medical Bureaus and Sustainability of Member Health
Units.

Job Summary:  The Compliance Officer – CCTV Surveillance
will be responsible for monitoring the CCTV surveillance system throughout the
JMS network, watching multiple monitors simultaneously, watching both live and
recorded CCTV surveillance footage, reporting incidents or suspicious behavior,
and ensuring expeditious follow up with the respective Directors/Managers of
irregularities noted.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and ensure recording of CCTV footage at all JMS sites
  • Real time and periodic reporting of all identified unusual,
    suspicious or questionable incidents within or around JMS premises and
    recommendations made to relevant directors, managers and officers.
  • Provide managerial reports to the Director Internal Audit, Risk and
    Compliance, and copy daily reports to EXCO and Manager Human Resource and
    Administration.
  • Maintain an effective recorded footage inventory in line with JMS’
    stipulated retention period, and in such a manner that it is evidentially
    acceptable in court should need arise.
  • Delete and/or archive old footage as needed, and organize old
    footage in an orderly manner.
  • Play back and retrieve captured CCTV images in the event of
    violations.
  • Review and check the operation/functionality of the CCTV system
    including checking of efficiency of system back up.
  • Participate in and or support investigations as may be required from
    time to time
  • Ensure that the Control Room remains secure at all times and that no
    unauthorized persons enter the Control Room.
  • Oversee the activities of the Control Room including supervising,
    mentoring and coaching CCTV surveillance personnel.
  • Assess and investigate CCTV equipment functionality and performance
    and ensure prompt servicing, maintenance and repair.

  • CCTV operations guidelines in place and implemented with monitoring
    reports
  • Number of management reports produced and communicated
  • CCTV improvement plans and proposals
  • Down time of CCTV recording
  • CCTV image quality
  • Preservation of CCTV infrastructure and outputs
  • Footage retrieval time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Joint Medical Store (JMS) Compliance
    Officer – CCTV Surveillance job placement must hold a Degree in information
    technology, information security, computer applications, computer science
    or information systems.
  • CCTV Security Camera and Network Certificate
  • Training in criminal investigations.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience of operation of CCTV
    surveillance systems in a busy security environment.
  • Dependable, honest and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to use a variety of tools including; Video Surveillance
    equipment, Radio Communication systems etc.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to quickly identify patterns and abnormalities.
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Supervisory skills
  • Investigation skills
  • Well-developed oral, written (report writing) communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Self-motivated, able to prioritize work and follow up tasks and
    issues to the end
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point,
    Email)
