Airport. It is headquartered in Entebbe, Wakiso District, Uganda, and operates
from its hub in Entebbe International Airport. 

Job Summary:  The Technical Assistant provides a support
role to the Technicians and/or certifying engineers during maintenance and
often assigned to clean, servicing under supervision and arranging tooling
& ground equipment, and cleaning of the maintenance facilities. They have a
duty for identifying and reporting all safety hazards and deficiencies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Tasked with external Aircraft Cleaning and deep cabin cleaning.
  • Cleaning of Tooling and Equipment
  • The positioning of maintenance support equipment such as access
    platforms, fire extinguishers,
  • Supports the ground team in regards to aircraft technical ground
    handling, e.g. positioning of chocks, wing walking and cones to define the
    safety zones
  • Identifying hazards in the maintenance environment and reporting to
    the supervisor
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the line maintenance
    engineer and/or technician

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

  • The ideal candidate for the Uganda Airlines Technical Assistant /
    Groomer job placement must hold a UACE or prior working experience in a
    maintenance setting or aviation technical environment.
