Job Summary:  The Driver will support the organization in
accomplishing its programs and expectations
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Drive office vehicles for the transport of authorised personnel;
    ensure that driving assignments are carried out safely and on time; good
    judgment is used in planning routes.
  • Plan and schedule routing.
  • Promptly collect and deliver.
  • Optimize use of the vehicle; assist in the registration of new
    vehicles, renewal of insurance and disposal submitted in a timely fashion.

  • Take care of the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicles.
  • Report all defects discovered during the Daily inspection and any
    deterioration in condition of any components that may cause the vehicle
    and/or equipment to be unserviceable;
  • Log official trips, daily mileage, gas consumption, oil changes,
    greasing, etc.
  • Ensure that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in
    case of involvement in an accident;
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate must hold an “A” level or its
    equivalent, a diploma in mechanical engineering would be an added
    advantage and a valid driving permit.
  • Five years of driving experience with classes A, C and E motor
    minibuses, commercial vehicles, motorcars.
  • Ability to maintain vehicles in a good working condition.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor
    vehicle repairs.
  • Experience in driving a variety of makes and models of vehicles,
    including vans and other kinds of motorized vehicles.
  • Possess sound technical knowledge of the mechanical and physical
    operation of vehicles.
  • Ability to diagnose simple technical problems/detects and write
    simple technical reports.
  • Should he able to clearly demonstrate organizational and leadership
    skills, sound judgment, tact, initiative and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of first aid.
  • Trustworthy, High sense of responsibility, Alertness, Physical
    fitness on duty, Emotional stability, neat and courteous, Punctuality.
