Job Summary:   The Principal will effectively manage the
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Promote quality improvement in education service deliver
  • Approve instructors’ training work plans for trainings at the
  • Do the registration of trainees for the D.I.T assessments.
  • Guide and counsel trainees in matters concerning trainings and also
    do the referrals if a need be.
  • Coordinate BTVET centre with the F.C.A Kyaka II field office.
  • Supervise day to day activities at the centre.
  • Participate and do the recruitments of the BTVET staff.
  • Train and give guidance to all staff at the centre (do capacity
    building to BTVET staff).
  • Make sure that all requisitions for materials are made in time,
    checked, approved and sent to Project Officer.
  • Make weekly and monthly reports to the area manager.
  • Plan for all Monday planning meetings and make sure that action
    points are put into action.
  • Approve all the training schedules/activities at the centre.
  • Make sure that trainees are linked to job opportunities after the
    training (linking learning to earning of youth).
  • Provide support for the encouragement of good practice in the
    education service delivery system;
  • Establish and sustain working linkages with the relevant partners
    and potential employers to the Youth being trained
  • Monitor and evaluate curriculum implementation, use of instructional
    materials assessment tools and systems in the VTC and recommend areas of
    improvement in education training;

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The ideal candidate for the Finn Church Aid (FCA) Principal job
    should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or Bachelor’s degree with a
    Post graduate Diploma in Education;
  • At least six years working experience
