Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK)
Institute Kigumba (UPIK) was established by the Statutory instrument No. 31 of
2011: The Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Acts, 2006
(Establishment of Uganda Petroleum Institute, Kigumba) in July, 2011. The
mandate of UPIK is to provide a world-class education in geosciences and
petroleum engineering in order to support and advance the petroleum and energy
sectors in Uganda, East Africa and beyond.
- Sort books, publications and other items. according to established
procedure and return them shelves, files or designated strong areas Locate
library material for patrons , including books, periodicals, tap
cassettes, Braille Volume and pictures - Inspect returned books for condition and date. status and compute
any applicable fines Operate and maintain audiovisual equipment Repair
books using mending tapes paste and brushes - Assist in the preparation of books displays
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned
- Applicants must possess an Advanced level certificate (UACE) with at
least one principal pass or an equivalent qualification. - Should be holders of a Certificate in Library and Information
Science, or any other relevant field with at least one year of relevant
working, experience - Age: Below 40
years
