over 60 years of existence. It is the largest construction company in the world
by revenue and the 14th largest general contractor in terms of overseas sales,
as of 2016. It is upgrading Kapchorwa-Suam Road from gravel to asphalt, this
rural road is in the Eastern Region of Uganda. The road links Kapchorwa,
through Kween to Suam, at the international border with Kenya.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Researches and analyzes data such as
    customer design proposal, specifications and manuals to determine
    feasibility of design or application
  • Design hydraulic products or systems
    such as hydraulic / electrical circuits, mechanical drive systems and
    steel fabrications
  • Assists engineering personnel in
    fabrication of equipment, and development of methods and procedures for
    testing hydraulic products or systems
  • Diagnoses malfunctions in hydraulic
    products and systems and recommends corrective action
  • Plans fabrication and installation
    activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design
    and customer specifications
  • Designs and modifies hydraulic products
    and systems to interface with machines and equipment
  • Evaluates field installations and
    recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system
    malfunctions

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • At least five years of experience in a
    similar/ related project
  • Understanding of fluid mechanics and
    hydraulics
  • Experience in hydraulic design, layout
    and application
  • Solid background in computer skills,
    including experience using Solid Works or comparable 3-D modeling software
  • Excellent verbal and written
    communication skills
  • A willingness to travel to conduct
    on-site assessments (mandatory for this position)
