About ABSYR Program:
The ABSYR program is
a three year program aimed to increase the socio-economic well-being of youth
in Yumbe district (refugees and host community) through skilling in
agriculture, agribusiness and life skills. The program is carried out in a
consortium with two other INGOs (ZOA and War Child Holland) and lead by ICCO
Cooperation. Apart from the overall management, ICCO will be responsible for
the formation of youth into successful cooperatives or producer organizations
and building private sector linkages for value chain support and coaching.
Reporting
Job Summary:  The Program Coordinator Agri-Business Skilling
for Youth in a Refugee context (ABSYR) will coordinate the successful
implementation of the ABSYR program in line with ICCO’s policies
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the overall program implementation
  • Coordinate the activities of the consortium through regular
    meetings, field visits, joint workplan and budget monitoring
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with consortium members
    based on ICCO’s partnership principles
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with all relevant
    stakeholders including the local and district government, refugee
    leadership and private sector
  • Represent ABSYR in relevant fora
  • Set up and ensure coordination of monitoring, evaluation and
    learning and accountability structures and document best practices
  • Ensure proper financial management of the program, in collaboration
    with the Finance Assistant and the Kampala-based Finance Officer
  • Facilitate program reviews and monitoring
  • Prepare and submit monthly work plans, monthly narrative and
    financial reports and liquidity requests to the Country Manager
  • Support the Country Manager in the development of narrative and
    financial reports to the donor
  • Ensure that All Solutions and Promeva (ICCO Cooperation databases)
    are up to date concerning ABSYR project

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
    Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
  • At least five years of experience in in a senior management with an
    international organization and in the fields of agriculture and skills
    development. Experience in refugee settlements is desirable
  • Proven track record in project management including financial
    literacy
  • Good knowledge of project partnership management
  • Familiarity with donor programs
  • Affinity with the private sector. Experience in business development
    is an added advantage
